Example Of DutiesThe Licensing and Registration Manager will provide leadership, oversee, and manage the Licensing program and professional licensing staff for the Health Professions Bureau of the Idaho Division of Occupational and Professional Licenses. This program supports the licensure work on behalf of the Boards, Commissions, and Committees in the Health Professions Bureau of the Division. The licensing responsibilities include ensuring that the licensure processes meet regulatory requirements, are efficient and timely, provide clear instructions and guidance to the applicants, and protect the public per the mission of each board. In addition, the Licensing and Registration Program Manager will ensure appropriate communication between the boards and stakeholders, state government, and the public. This position may be required to serve as an Executive Officer to assigned boards or commissions.
Minimum QualificationsSome knowledge of management practices.
Experience managing a major program and supervising staff.
Minimum Qualifications SpecialtiesExpertise in:
Managing and improving program development and performance
Analyzing complex management issues and developing recommendations for improvement
Experience In
Analyzing data and preparing written reports about findings
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge and experience in effective communication and collaboration skills to work with other division leaders, boards, and stakeholders on both a national and local level.
Experience interpreting and applying rules, policies, and procedures related to program operations to ensure compliance with state and federal laws.
Experience working with boards/commissions, and programs to include establishing and maintaining relationships with Board chairs and Board members, and partial or full execution of Board meetings.
Health Profession license eligible or a healthcare background with ability to easily communicate with healthcare professionals and licensees/registrants.
